Canary Islands

Tenerife is the biggest of the seven Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, belonging to Spain, Europe. The island is well known as the island of eternal spring, due to the moderate temperatures all year around with more than 300 sunny days per year in the south of Tenerife. The Canary Islands are part of the Macaronesian Archipels. 

Macaronesia finds it origin in the Greek language: Makarón means happyness or fortunate and neosi means islands. The islands of happiness!

The highest volcano in Spain, the “Teide” with 3.718m is also located in the heart of the island and invites to beautiful excursions in a moonlike landscape.

 

It offers activities like golfing, hiking, water sports, tennis and many more. Michelin star Restaurants and exclusive shopping áreas will seduce you to enjoy any moment of your stay on the island.

There are regular flight connections via Madrid (about 2,5 hours) or Barcelona (3,5 hours) to Airport north “Los Rodeos” or the International South Airport “Reina Sofia” and many chárter flights from Italy, Great Britain or Germany.
If you arrive in your private jet, the International South Airport will be your choice.

Tenerife is also well known for it´s microclimates. The island is only about 80km long, but you can enjoy in winter some snow in 2000-3700m heigt, on the top of the Teide volcano, and then go down, in an one hour drive to the coast and have a swim at the beach.

In the north of the island you can find some cloud- rainforest and in the south some desert like áreas, moonlike landscaping on the top of the Teide and white and black beaches at the coastline. Tropical flora gives the gardens a colourful ambient.
